Though considered a warrior born for battle, Thor retains a certain innocence, and his native Asgard is a kind of fairy tale realm connected with the earth by the rainbow bridge (Bifrost) that lets you switch Asgard to Midgard (Earth).
But Thor was originally a warlike warlord god of the Vikings faithful to the Norse deity in which the character is directly inspired. But his aggression has exceeded the limits and his father Odin banished him to live as a mortal in Midgard (Earth) on the personality of a physician crippled leg, Donald Blake, with no memory of who he really was until he learned to value justice and peace, when the target would return the identity of the storm god.

early 2006 Thor died along with all the inhabitants of Asgard in the Ragnarok. Reappeared in Civil War, although it was actually a clone of the original to serve SHIELD created by Iron Man and Reed Richards.
